I will avoid going into too great detail on the last year and a half, but maybe by the end of reading this you'll be caught up on the current state of things.
Recent Achievements:
+ July Photography Exhibit at Francesca's Cafe in Boston's South End. (I know, I should have advertised it on here.)
+ Tattoo of a honey bee across my chest.
+ Acceptance to Northeastern University Bouve College's Counseling Psychology program. (I deferred enrollment to Fall 2010.)
+ 200-hr Yoga Teacher certification program The Body Awakening (round 1) with David Vendetti.
Highlights:
+ lucid dreaming
+ planning for California!!! (VENTURA HERE I COME!)
+ left ankle finally healed
+ swimming across Walden Pond
+ photographing insects in coitus. it's quite amazing.
+ parents and family slowly breaking through ignorance and homophobia
Job Situation:
+ Future: Resident Yoga Instructor & bee farmer, Somewhere, California, published photographer - National Geographic
+ Current: salesperson/rental agent at JP Rentals & Sales. I'm licensed!
+ Former: Teacher 2 at the New England Center for Children - a residential school for severely autistic people under 22.
+ Former: Barista/Server at Francesca's Espresso Bar & Cafe in Boston's South End.
+ Former: Camp Counselor, Cambridge Adventure Day Camp, Newton, MA (aka: saving children from swarms of bees)
Pitfalls/Tragedies:
- Gabriel Feld - the boy who comes up in dozens of these journal entries - killed himself in April of this year. I feel like my life is over it's end. Head over heels turns into a face-plant on steaming hot pavement.
- being confused in my current relationship - feeling taken for granted, feeling the brunt of his exhaustion
- Grammy Shirley loses her house because my Grampa Joe is an asshole.
That's enough for now. I'm going to be late for my appointment to photograph this apartment I just took a listing for.
Yay work.
Get at me people. I miss you.
